Fujifilm Finepix F60fd Review
Fujifilm Finepix F60fd is an update version of Finepix F50fd, they are almost identical digital point-and-shoot cameras. The main different of F60fd are a 3.0-inch LCD monitor, Face Detection3.0 and Auto- Scene Recognition.

Compare Fujifilm Finepix F50fd, F60fd, F100fd
Honestly, we did not expect a F60fd, because F100fd is just a few months old, and the spec of F60fd is also identical to F50fd. Other than the 3.0-inch LCD monitor, we can say F60fd is just a “software update” of F50fd.
One really new feature is the Auto-Scene Recognition which helps you detect and automatically select the suitable scene mode / setting. This feature is becoming a “common” feature, you can find the similar feature on Panasonic digital cameras (e.g. Lumix DMC-FX37)

Conclusion
I started using Fujifilm Finepix F series since F30 because of its high ISO performance was one of the best at that time. I am currently using F100fd and I am quite satisfy with F100fd’s photo quality, and the 28mm wide angle lens is quite convenient.
Since the price different between F60fd and F100fd is very little (as of the time of this writing); the buying decision would be purely base on the F60fd’s 3.0-inch LCD + Auto-Scene Recognition vs F100fd’s 28mm wide angle lens + 8th generation Super CCD sensor.

I own an F31fd. I must say Fujifilm’s rush into the megapixel race has sacrificed one of their strongest selling point: the high-iso performance. Fuji super CCD has the tendency to smear things up at the high iso, perhaps due to the noise reduction algorithm. These are the 2 weakness of Fujifilm F series. Nevertheless, Fujifilm makes good camera with stunning colour and low light performance.

the main drawback to the f100fd is that there is no manual setting. (or aperture or shutter speed priority, which the f60fd has).
